Peach Bread

How is it that I have gone my whole life and never tasted peach bread? How is it that this delicious morsel is not a household fall staple!?! I’m almost offended for peaches themselves. I LOVE THIS BREAD! In fact, I love it so much that I pureed 6 more cups and froze them so I can make more throughout the winter!


2 C. Sugar
1/4 C. Brown Sugar
1 C. Butter
3 Eggs
2 1/2 C. Peaches pureed ( I like it pureed so there are no chunks. If you like the chunks than hand mash it to desired consistency) (about 4 peaches)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
2 C. flour

Cinnamon crumble:
2 Tbs. Sugar
2 Tbs. Brown Sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon


Cream together sugars and butter. Add the remaining ingredients being careful to add the flour slowly until blended well. Pour the batter into bread pans about 2/3’s the way full. Mix up the cinnamon crumble portion in a separate bowl. Sprinkle the cinnamon crumble on top of the bread and place carefully in oven. Cook for 45 minutes at 350 or until toothpick comes out clean. The cinnamon crumble is optional but oh so divine!

Makes 4 small loaves
