February’s 15 Workout Songs to Keep You Moving and Grooving


When it comes to working out, I am completely motivated by what i’m listening to. Lately, i’ve been digging spin class which has given me a whole new play list for when I can run again. My top song this week is Rudimentals- ‘Not given in’.  The premise of the song is about a young boy who lives in a harsh neighborhood, who refuses to give into the life he has.  When i’m working out it’s all about ‘not given in’ to the pain of the  workout. This song in particular has 4 repeated sections of “ooohhhooo not given in” in which the beat speeds up for 45 seconds. This makes for an excellent opportunity to add a ‘pick up’ or sprint to your workout. I love it.  The rest of the music is also quite excellent, if I do say so myself. Next month i’ll be sure to add the songs from the olympics as they always put together a pretty motivational playlist.
